Blackstone Valley Emergency Shelter

So many people in our society are overlooked and in need of a helping hand, especially during the harsh winter months. There are folks right here in our own community who are endangered by the cold and do not have a warm, safe place to sleep at night. If you are interested in working with others in our congregation to respond to this critical need, please speak with Brian Le Suer of the Gifts and Service committee or contact the church office (, 508-529-3192). We will provide volunteer sign-up forms, forms, answer questions and give you a link to watch a training video to prepare cold weather season. This is a great opportunity to work together to meet an important local need.

Community Supper

Hosted by the Gifts and Services committee, the Community Supper is held every third Thursday at 5:30 in the Lower Vestry (use the ground floor side entrance). The Community Supper is a place where our guests can enjoy the company of new and old friends and take a break from having to cook one evening a month. It’s an opportunity for those outside of our congregation to come in and see what the United Parish is about and of course it offers a nutritious meal for all, including main dish, vegetarian option, salad, bread (generously donated by Panera Bread), dessert and beverage. We accept a free will offering to help provide the resources necessary to prepare the meal. Donations are not required. Come and bring a friend. We hope to see you there!

Held the third Thursday of the month at 5:30.
